Wandering in the rain

Hey there. I'm a Kate.  Middle-aged sort of person (late 40s). I'm here for various gorgeous things and occasional ranting; weird and abstruse facts a plus. Queer UU WASP. She/her. Cisgender. (Not a slur.) Not in a specific fandom, basically fandom-OK. (Trek, X-Files, Fringe, Dr. Who, some MCU, old Marvel & DC comics, Farscape, various others.)
Do you think that Marvel would be willing to to sell 'sexy variant covers' featuring male superheroes? I mean a few artists that ALREADY work for marvel said they'd be down for it so you wont have to look far, and I know id buy them in a heartbeat!!

There is very little that Marvel won’t sell if we’re convinced that there’s an audience for them.

In this case, though, I’m not genuinely convinced that there is, apart from the rhetoric of people who don’t like some of our covers featuring women.
